Conclusion: It’s clear that Thermaltake have put a lot of effort into designing this case and there are a lot of features and little touches that have been put into implementation just right. The case construction is of a very high level, and although not as heavy as other high end Thermaltake cases it’s not because quality has been cut back. The mat black finish all over the case is really nice, and makes the finished installation look so much cleaner. I like the finish so much that I want to do it to my own case.
Conclusion: We found the Thermaltake Spedo to be one of the most intelligently designed chassis we've ever had the pleasure of laying our hands on. The FanCool8 design incorporating 8 fans in total, from the massive 230mm side fan to the 200mm top fan and the airflow in the case is unparalleled. Cable management was a snap, even for the cable impaired, and the tool free drive bays and hard drive bays held the drives very securely.
Conclusion: All things considered, the Thermaltake Spedo Advance is a worthwhile contender for your dollar, and is definitely worthy of a decent look. It provides good cooling performance and equally good looks, and for those who frequent LAN's it's not going to be a back-breaker. MSRP for the Thermaltake Spedo Advance chassis is a cool US$243.00, and US198.00 for the Spedo chassis.
Conclusion: Thermaltake has done it once again with the Spedo, designing and producing one of the best full size ATX cases we have ever seen. That is really saying something, because when it comes to full size ATX cases the options are almost endless. Thermaltake themselves now offer around half a dozen models, with the Spedo of course being the latest and in our opinion the best.
Conclusion: This is a practically flawless case, being one of the most complete cases we ever reviewed. The overall quality of this product is impressive and should please even the most exigent user. The only way this product could be even better is if it were made of aluminum. But then it would come with an absurd price tag.
Conclusion: No doubt about it, Thermaltake has created a mad full tower case which will surely find fans amongst overclockers and enthusiasts. The Spedo was designed with cooling performance in mind rather than absolute silence and it's hard to fault in this regard.
Conclusion: "This case includes some very unique features and it's refreshing to see."
Conclusion: "It's very hard to fault the Spedo in the features department."
Conclusion: For years Thermaltake has been regarded as one of the leading manufacturers of computer cases aimed at gamers and enthusiasts, and with the introduction of the Spedo Advance Chassis, it reaffirms their position and shows they can continue producing original cases with new features.
Conclusion: The Thermaltake Spedo is the ideal case to choose whether this is to be your new case or even your replacement case. It has all the features one would expect from a high-end case. The time it takes to build a new system will be reduced in half thanks to the tool-free features and vastness of the interior of the case. Do yourself a favor and check this one out it is not be missed.
Conclusion: "When all is said and done, the Spedo is first and foremost a functionally brilliant case that provides excellent air cooling, and with its black cold rolled finish looks right on the money." - PCPP Issue #161 Feb '09

Conclusion: "This is a really excellent case, and if you like the looks or want the features, there really is nothing more affordable. Score 94%" - Atomic Issue #97 Feb '09
Conclusion: The case shows very good artisanship, without a doubt. It's well built and caters to users looking for other options in the full-size tower market.
Conclusion: Sports car-inspired case with many unique features, great design, and very spacious. The Thermaltake Spedo Advance Chassis needs a bit more 'refinement' to become the ultimate, and we are sure that they're getting there.
Conclusion: Thermaltake has hit on a lot of good things with the Spedo, and I've learned it is not restrictive like the swimwear with a similar name. While at first I thought the ATC 3 was more of a gimmick, I found it works quite well especially with isolating heat from the GPU.
Conclusion: The first thing that I admire about the Spedo was the use of lines on the front of the case. Thermaltake did well when they decided not to go extreme with the design. The Spedo is going to hit the market as an advanced case that will fit many different types of individuals from gamers to professionals to enthusiasts. For this reason I feel the design will be liked by many.
Conclusion: First and foremost, one of the most important aspects of a gaming chassis is the cooling ability and the Thermaltake Spedo certainly succeeds here. In our thermal testing the case performs admirably and effort has certainly been put in to ensure first-class airflow capability. It receives the DH Bronze Award and makes the Shortlist Recommended Award
Conclusion: Once you get past its faults, you will find a heart of gold in this chassis. Don't let the plastic scare you. If you are looking for a versatile and high cooling capacity chassis, then you need to take a serious look here.
Conclusion: Thermaltake has, in essence, thought of everything, and that attention to detail shows. We wish it had extended to the ATC, which doesn't live up to its full promise because of the dividers' flimsy construction. But if you can deal with that and the high price, you'll probably find the Spedo one of the coolest cases around.
